A class of children and teachers of the Spring Garden Children’s Center, assisted by Sophia Feller, Master Gardener of the Urban Farm Project, took a break from the cultivation of their vegetable crops growing in the plot in the community garden space and in containers designed by Lafayette College students. They gathered in a quiet corner of their garden to listen to a gardening story read by Cops ‘n’ Kids Director, Judith Dickerson, on June 26, 2012. Each child picked a gardening story book to keep and take home after their garden tasks were completed.
