An appreciation breakfast was held for the Barbershop Book partners. Cops ‘n’ Kids of Easton and Kindergarten Connection (Family Connection) program partnered recruited and teamed with nine local barbers to create reading spaces in their shops. The goal is to help boys of color to identify as readers by connecting books and reading to male-centered space and involve men in boys’ early reading experiences. The barbershop book site is the first of its kind in Pennsylvania.
