Barbershop Books Featured on WFMZ
WFMZ did a story on “Barbershop Books” recently. This initiative places books in local barbershops to encourage children to read while they wait for a haircut. They are allowed to take the book home if they wish. Cops ‘n Kids’ Director Judie Dickerson is interviewed as part of the story.

The kids had a great experience learning a bit about photography and about what police officers do with photography to collect evidence to solve a crime. The kids did a great job of using digital cameras to find and photograph objects that were of a certain color or that started with letters that began with their first names. Using 3 tips to make sure that their photos were good ones, they started their own photo album.
Therapy Dogs
The calm, peaceful presence of Cooper and Bentley with owner, Diane Bennett, brought a new feel to the Reading Room on February 23 as visitors read to them and showered them with adoring attention. We hope they will visit us again soon along with our friend, Easton Police Officer Vince Bruneo.
