Sigal Museum welcomed guests in the new Reading Room for the first time on June 26,2021. Lt. Dan Bonham, Easton Police Dept. cut the ribbon at the official opening.
Holly Houser, Sigal Museum Educational Director , Lt. Dan Bonham, Judith Dickerson , join forces to expand Reading Room availability to more children and theirfamilies.

2nd Reading Room Added at NCC Easton

Cops ’n’ Kids of Easton officially opened a second Reading Room at Northampton Community College Easton Educational Center in downtown Easton on, September 13, 2018. Director Judith Dickerson, was assisted with the ribbon cutting by Easton Police Lt. Robert Weber and Northampton Community College Associate Dean of Community Education, Dr. Gail Mrowinski. Joined by children and parents, Easton police Chief Carl Scalzo and police personnel, community supporters as well as volunteers, all celebrated the opening at a reception immediately following, along with a tour of the new Northampton Community College facilities.
The new site opening enhances the free access to books and literacy-related activities provided by the program. The Director and volunteers look forward to greeting many new faces every Thursday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m to encourage children “to be a reader and become a leader.”
